Evy has had a career in sewing since a very early age. Before machine embroidery captured her imagination and her heart, she worked as a couturiere, a women's wear designer, a freelance embroidery designer, the owner of a little fabric shop, a children's wear designer/manufacturer and a graphic artist. Today Evy stays happily busy creating new projects and digitizing her own line of embroidery designs.
She has written articles for Designs in Machine Embroidery, Creative Machine Embroidery, Flair UK and Embroidery Journal. Some of her projects have been published in the book "Machine Embroidery, Wild and Wacky" by Rebecca Kemp-Brent and Linda Griepentrog, and new designs will be featured in a second book by the same authors, "Fill in the Blanks with Machine Embroidery," coming soon. Evy travels with her trunk show, teaching project classes mainly in the southeast and also attends various embroidery and sewing conferences.
